カラオケ & 飲み会

yesterday, i finally got to go karaoke. i've been itching to go for a while but never seemed to have the chance. でも、昨日やっといけました。and during happy hour too, so it was a lot cheaper.

久しぶりに歌ったせいか、あんまりうまくいかなかったですね。or, it may be that i just suck. lol. but it was fun nonetheless. i tried singing some new songs, but that turned out pretty bad. でも、カラオケいけたから大満足♪

at night, we had a mini nomikai at a friends house. i drank 1 beer and 4 chu-hi's in about 2 hours. oh, and had a bunch of potato wedges and chicken wings. not good... 気持ち悪くて悪くて。吐いちゃいましたね。ペースが速すぎと、めっちゃ食べすぎ。しかも脂っこいものばっか。今でもまだ若干気持ち悪いもん。i really need to be more careful next time.

カラオケ～

tonight, i went out with the bf, since he was in the area on business. haha. 2週連続なんてラッキー。最近は中々二人で出かけることなかったから楽しい♪

first, we went to this sex shop, Pleasure Chest, in West Hollywood that we'd been eyeing. we found it on yelp! and it had great reviews. 玩具買おうとばかり言う彼のために行くことに。we ended up getting a vibrator that we'd bought before that i really liked. plus, it was cheap. だって、結構全部高い。$50－$75は当たり前で$100超えるものなんてザラとある。高い高い。そういうのはもうちょっと大人になってからね。although there was this one that was like $135 that looked VERY interesting. lol

afterwards, we decided to go to the mall and just browse. we went to the gap since they were having a sale and i ended up buying 2 shirts. 最近買い物が多いです。ま、女の子らしくなってきたのかも知れないけど、ちょっと買いすぎかな？and then, we decided to eat at the food court. since we were both not too hungry, we decided to split an order. we ordered at this texmex like place. got a tortilla wrapped sandwich with tortilla chips. 結構おいしかった。以外とあっさりで。but i really wanted to try their fries. o well..

で、最終的にはカラオケ～。超久しぶり。楽しかった～。i've been wanting to go for a while so it was nice to finally be able to go. there were quite a number of people but the place was decently big so we didn't have to wait. finally got to sing "Don't say crazy" and also tried "The D-Motion" but failed. haha. 結構懐かしいのも歌った。Sowelu の "Dear Friend" とか hitomi の "LOVE2000" とか。懐かしい～。あはは。楽しい夜だった！

Pasta de Waraku

went here tonight with the bf for dinner. we were gonna get boiling crab for dinner but there were wayyyyyy too many people. -____- 結構楽しみにしてたのになぁ。残念。また今度。

ということで。向かう途中で見つけてこのレストランに夕食は決定。since i really like japanese-style pasta, i was really excited. the appetizer and stuff was pretty darn good. i got the sea urchin pasta and gratin set. i didn't think the pasta would be cream but when it came out, it was. -___- しつこすぎて食べきられなかった。途中までは順調だったのにね。でも、数少ない和製パスタ屋さんだから、また行くかも。

the restaurant this plaza was in was a relatively new plaza but it had a lot of interesting shops. there was one clothing store that sold fob style clothing. 結構かわいいのもいくつか。there was also another store that sold random crap from like japan, korea, and china. 彼のお姉さんの誕生日プレゼントをここで購入。そして、なんと、
カラオケ屋とプリクラ屋さんも入ってた～。the place was so asian. haha. overall, a very interesting plaza. :)

tonight, the bf, another friend, and i went out for dinner at "Shinano" in Monterey Park. (it seems like i'm going out a lot with his friends recently...) 念願の和食！でも、残念！あんまり美味しくなかった。esp. for the prices they charger. 高かった！$$$ i got a bit of sushi and dynamite. クオリティーはまずまず。竜田揚げが美味しかった！あはは。

after that, we met up with one more guy and off we went to little tokyo. the bf and i went karaoke while the other two guys went to the arcade. お金がないからカラオケはしないんだって。ま、楽しかったからイイケドね。although my throat was a bit buggy.

afterwards, we headed over to half&half and got some drinks while one of the guys ate since he didn't have dinner yet. 美味しそうだった～。食べたかったけどお腹いっぱいだったからムリ！but i did fill up my stamp card. 早っ！（笑）

later that night, one of the guys started using my bf's car to try to learn manual. it was a bumpy ride! haha. kinda like a thiller coaster at some parts. and man, he kept stalling. 私もまた習いたいな～。随分前に一回習ったきりだからね。その時はまぁまぁだった。でも、一回パニクったら、5回くらい連続でエンストしたっけ？（笑）車壊れちゃうね。

BJ's and Karaoke

昨晩は彼ん家でお泊り～♪ ということで、遅くまで夜遊び。we ended up going out for dinner and drinks with a two of his friends. (the bf doesn't drink so he was the dd) off we headed to BJ's. me being a first-timer didn't really know what to expect but, it was okay. ちょっと高いけどね。味はそこそこイケる。seriously tho, too pricey. they have good drinks tho. :) i think i got the mixed drink called Pomegranate Sunset. みたいな？（笑）

i think the one in the background is the popmegrate sunset. 美味しかった！

we finished dinner and all around 10-ish? and then we headed over to half&half since another guy and i wanted some boba. そこでまた小一時間ぐらいくっちゃべっちゃった。お外だから寒かった。あはは。

and then, we dropped one guy off at his place and went karaoke~! one of the guys with us was a total white guy that knew almost zero japanese but went with us anyways. 最初は歌わないとか言ってたけど、、、he ended up singing a couple american songs. haha its the カラオケの魅力。haha. we ended up singing for about an hour and a half. by the time we got home, it was around 2:30 a.m. 眠い～。でも、どうやら彼は元気みたいで．．．（照）ちょっち面倒くさいけど、相手してあげて、結局寝れたのが3時ぐらい？マジ寝不足。

Focus

Focus is this little Japanese cafe that i went to today. had to go meet a friend of my mom's with her at the place. it's located in little tokyo, on the second floor of the plaza right next to the UBOC. 分かりにくいかな？あの、「JUNGLE」とかいうアニメ屋さんがあるところの上。（笑）

so, we ended up sitting there for nearly 4 hours. -_____- wasn't planning on staying that long but whatever. on the plus side, go to eat there too. my mom and i shared the カツサンド and きのこ和風ハンバーグ. it was really good!! びっくりした～。特にポテト。it's cut into wedges. and it's also lightly seasoned. mmmm good. hehe.

they also have lots and lots of manga. 漫画喫茶並みではないけど、そこそこの量。and on top of that, they have karaoke tooooo!! never got to try it and didn't find out the price but want to go back to try it. カラオケ大好き！早く行きたいなぁ。

カラオケ♪

お久ですっ！！カ・ラ・オ・ケ！but i finally got to go during my winter break. yeay~~~.

so, went to the max karaoke in little tokyo. too bad we missed happy hour tho, so it was a bit more expensive than expected. anywaysss, it was so much fun :) 男子3人と女子は私だけ。i wish more girls would come but whatever. that's what happens when your guy friends are single.

ま、超ぅぅぅぅぅぅぅぅぅぅ楽しかったからいいけどね。omg, we did a couple of duet songs, (m-flo loves ___ and seamo feat. ___) and it was hilarious. since i'm the only girl, i was doing the girl parts of the parts i know. but the other guy doing the guy part was complaining that he doesn't know the guy parts too well. so.... 立場逆転、私が男、彼が女でチャレンジ！そしたら、あら、びっくり、君、女のパートウマイじゃん！みたいな？女の私としては悔しい。。。but yea, that guy can go pretty darn high. it was hysterical. もう、笑いすぎた。

Karaoke & メイド服

this weekend was decently fun. first and foremost, i was able to go karaoke. メッチャ久しぶり!! oh how i missed it. しかも、happy hour に行けたから安い！it was so much fun. でも、飲み物持って行くの忘れたから喉カラカラ。it's cuz the bf doesn't sing that much so i end up singing a lot. -__- ま、楽しかったからいいけど。

i also had to go back to the burned house this weekend. there, i was able to recover all my certificates from school and my high school diploma. i had totally forgotten about those. でも、無事だったから良かった。もうすぐ取り壊しが始まるらしい。it'll be saddening to see it go down :(

色々探索してたら、前に日本で買って帰ったメイド服を発見! これはかなりウレシイ。だって、お気に入りだったから。しかも、あんまり汚くなってなかったから帰って洗ったらすごいキレイになった。so, yea, having fun with it again ;)

no, that is not me. i'm not that cute, unfortunately... :)

on a different note, i was finally able to find a wallet that i like. no more rummaging through my bag for $$ and cards. it's so nice to have a wallet. でも、結構高かった。＄１００した。and that was with the 50% off sale. Nina Ricci の財布。いい買い物した～。

The Hangover ♪♪

finally watched The Hangover this weekend! the bf and i went to one of those theaters that play movies that are a bit old for a discounted price in pasadena. $3 は安いよね～。映画も面白かったし。結構衝撃的だね。are bachelor's parties really that crazy?? it was pretty intense. and very sexually charged. even if you're smashed, 浮気は浮気だからね！it's not an excuse.

also went karaoke this weekend. 久しぶりだった～。最近いろいろと忙しくてなかなか遊べなかったからね。（笑）it was extremely fun. 声がすぐ枯れちゃった。but there were lots of new songs to sing so it was nice. sadly, they're not that up to date so the newest songs that we wanted to sing weren't out yet. ugh. so slowwww.

北川景子

「ブザービート」見てて思ったこと。北川景子って演技めっちゃ下手。this is the first time i've actually seen her act. and boy was i surprised. なんでこんなに下手なん？って思っちゃいました。だって、感情表現がぜんぜんスムーズじゃない。like, at one point, she's all へらへら, and then next, she's screaming in anger. it's like "woah, wtf!?" seriously... もうちょっと感情豊かにしないと．．．

she is, however, quite pretty. seems a bit bitchy but i guess that's part of her attraction. i hate that she's the 相手役 for yamashita tho. i personally think he deserves better. but i am biased :P だって、山Pってかっこいいじゃん？しかも演技ウマイし。歌も歌えるし。稼ぎまくってるし。結構条件そろってるよね。体も程よい筋肉が付いてるし。（キャーーー >.<) 今一押しかも。

so, went karaoke earlier today. 何か、長いこと行ってなかったな～。久しぶりだとのどが痛くなった。（笑）but it was a ton of fun. また行きたいな～。

Huntington Library

went to the huntington library today. haven't been there in ages and got a bit lost getting there but it was pretty fun :) 彼はあまり面白くなかったみたいだけど。「オバさんが好きそうなところだね」って言われた。なんだとー、コノ野郎ぅぅぅぅぅ！（笑）

but yea, i thought it was fun. especially the japanese garden. キレイだったね～。if you live in the area, you should definitely try going. interesting :)で、夜はカラオケ行ったね～。久しぶり。でも、曲を本で探さないといけなかったから大変。前は電子目録で探せてからよかったけど、最近は使えない。sucks...

all in all, a nice day off :)

President's Day Bonanza

man, yesterday was a pretty long day. haha. it was fun overall tho. let's see... i first slept over at the bf's house. 寒かった～。he keeps taking the blanket from me! >:( で、朝起きてから、ちょっとモールにお買い物～♪ we went to AE and i found some stuff that i liked でも．．．高すぎる。we did some shopping for the bf.

その後は、小東京に行ってランチ。we went to the new place in weller court. 2F. chi-ma-ya? i think is what it's called. i like it :) then, it's off to kinokuniya. 新しいシリーズ始めました！！「黒執事」。そこそこ面白そう？i just started reading it so not too sure yet.
で、その後は、カラオケ～♪。歌いまくったぜ。のどが痛くなったぜ。あはは。でも、楽しかった。it was 結構久しぶり。after the karaoke, we went home and watched "Super Bad". more like finished watching it. a bit dumb. some funny parts. was an eh movie.
for dinner, we went to a chinese restaurant in san gabriel to celebrate the bf's lil sis's birthday :) it was まぁまぁ。サービスがあんまり．．．but man, we had live prawns, and the thing cost $40/lb!!!!! unbelievable. we got so just the prawns cost us $80. 高いよぉぉぉぉぉぉぉ。ご馳走様でした。i feel a bit bad since i always go to those family dinner things and いつもご馳走になる。すみません。

after dinner, the bf and i go to best buys and he gets himself an mp3 player. it's a sony. i get his old one. yay! ただより安い物はない! hehe.

once we get home, i borrowed the shower and afterwards, movie time again! we watched 「隠し砦の三悪人 THE LAST PRINCESS」。it's a japanese movie that got quite a lot of publicity. i only watch half of it tho. hopefully, i can finish it up soon. でも見た限りは結構面白そうだったけどね。
ま、そんなこんなで結構色々ありましたね。昨日は。楽しかった。too bad i didn't end up studying at all for my midterm wednesday... o wells.

やっぱカラオケ楽しい～♪

昨日は結構久しぶりにカラオケ行ってきた。but we were only there for a little less than an hour. haha. but it was fun. 結構ヒドイ音痴な私。ソレを一時間聞いているかわいそうな彼。あはは。でも楽しい。it's not like he's not used to it. i sing horribly in the car all the time. :)

「残酷な天使のテーゼ」を歌ってみた。チョームズかった～。very fast paced. lol. 呼吸困難。（笑）but you know what, they still don't have 「PROMiSE」 by MiCHi. grrrr. i want to sing that but can't.... 残念。

この後は「コード・ブルー」のスペシャルを見る！！チョー楽しみ。the series itself was really good. :) the bf liked it because 戸田恵梨香 was in it. hmph. lol. 山Pもかっこよかった～。男前。but his hair style was kinda funky. i like his old short one better. not that curly mess. haha. でも、本当にドラマ自体よかった。だからスペシャルにも期待大！裏切られないといいな～。

yesterday & today

so, last night, before coming back to my apartment near school, the bf and i decided to make a pit stop at the griffith observatory. it was supposed to close at 10 and we left his house at around 8 something so we thought we should be fine. *WE THOUGHT* GPS 頼りに進んでみたら、家があるところを曲がって行けという。うちらは「！？」みたいな．．．（笑）it was impossible. so we used the address that i got online and went from there but it turned out we got to griffith national park. but hey, we got to see the light walk with all this christmas light stuff. めっちゃキレイだったね～。:)

from there, we decided we still might make it to the observatory and eventually find our way there. でも、後５分くらいでしまる時間になっちゃってた。もうホント大変。でも、少し景色と外観見れたからまるっきし時間の無駄ではなかったね。
and then today, went karaoke again~. やっぱ楽しいね～。めちゃめちゃ歌ったぞ～。結構懐かしい曲をいっぱい。スピッツの「チェリー」とか、花・花の「さよなら大好きな人」とか、Kiroro の「最後のキス」とか。歌いまくるのは快感ですな～。:)

later tonight, we also decided to do some driving so we decided to go to angeles crest highway. もうめっちゃぐにゃぐにゃ道で結構怖かった～。but the bf has really good driving skills and lots of experience so it was too bad. もうね！星がめちゃめちゃキレイなの～～～！！！！！！あんなキレイな星空 l.a. ではほとんど見れないよ。the 夜景 was really pretty too~. overall, it was a really nice experience. i feel bad for the bf tho, i made him drive so much and he has work at 8 tomorrow morning. -_- ごめんね？

自分にお疲れ様。

今日は大変。でも、昨日から結構忙しかったかな．．．（笑）体はボロボロだし。it all started saturday night. i was cutting peaches for my mom and i ended up cutting my thumb. right where it folds too, so it took a while to heal. -_- 分かる？親指を曲げた一番したの折曲がり線。then, on sunday morning, the bf に膝蹴りを食らった。おでこに。簡単に説明するとベッドに登ろうとしてたアイツが寝転がっていた私の頭にぶつかった。マジ痛かった～。涙でた～(;_;) lol. and then, yesterday, i cut my thumb again. obviously the same one. キャベツの芯を切って取ってたときのできごと。そんで、昨日行ったカラオケ屋さんで左足の薬指（あってる？足の指でもそう？分からん．．．）をベンチにぶつけた。i seriously stubbed it pretty hard. now, 腫れて, its a bit bruised. lol.

so yes. yesterday was full of injuries. but it was fun. we (the bf and i) went karaoke, watched most of クロサギの映画、rode the bike :) and i had some drinks. lol. 酔っ払っちゃった～。it was vodka with apple juice. quite tasty. haha. 爆睡しちゃって、彼に恥ずかしい酔っ払いの寝姿を取られちった。誰にも見せられない．．．マジ、口半開きで大の字で寝てるの。very embarrassing. at least it didn't make the internet, right?

that's kinda similar to what i looked like. lol

today was a busy day. i was lacking sleep because i came home late last night and ended up sleeping at a little past 1 a.m. but had to wake up in time for my 8 a.m. class. and then, tomorrow, they are spraying our room for bugs so we had to move A LOT of stuff. めっちゃ模様替えした～。大変だった～。everything had to be 2~3 feet away from the wall. でも、そこそこ楽しめたからいいかな？でも、皆勉強で大変だからイライラしてた人の方が多かった。（笑）楽しんでたのは自分だけかな？whatever. so tired. MIDTERMS SUCK!!!

Last night was a BLAST!! :)

props to the bf for making last night a blast!! i had so much fun! :) so here goes...

the bf finished work early last night and came to hang with me. he arrived at my place at a little past 8:30. we decided to go karaoke and so we went back to little tokyo to Max Karaoke. (the one inside the Mitsuwa building) we did karaoke for like an hour. totally fun! we did a couple of anime songs which was really a blast. lol. we're so japanese. haha. 名探偵コナンの曲を何曲かと後、クレヨンしんちゃんも歌ったね～。私はいろんなメドレーに挑戦してあえなく撃沈されちゃいました。（笑） too bad i'm not too good at singing... :(

after that, we decide to go watch a late movie so we head over to the grove. after getting lost a couple times and making a HUGE 遠回り, we finally get there around a little past 11. we were thinking about watching sex drive but we decided that it would be wayyyyyyyyyyyy tooooooooooooo crowded so we decided to watch max payne instead.

the bf told me it was based on game and i went in totally not knowing what the movie was going to be about. 結論的に言うと、まぁまぁだったかな？the action was really good and so was the cg. but at some points, it was just really unrealistic. in addition to that, it was really sloooooowwww. haha もうちょっとストーリーが早く進んだらよかったかな？見始めて３０分くらい経ったころにコレ preview で見たことある事に気づいた。（笑）i remembered watching the preview and thinking that it seemed like a really action packed movie but i had no clue as to what it was about. couldn't figure out the plot from the preview.

so, by the time i got home, it was a bit past 2 a.m. but i think it was definitely worth it. especially since i don't have any school today! :) awesomeness. haha but still, hw awaits so i must now go do that. -_-

♪KARAOKE♪

カラオケに行きたい。行きたい行きたい行きたい。but i can't seem to find the time. the only person i feel comfortable enough to go with is my bf. and he has been working a lot lately so i can't seem to go... でも、めちゃめちゃ行きたい。*sigh*

アメリカのカラオケって結構高い。日本の方が断然安いらしい。羨ましいですね。it would be nice if they considered the poor college students. it's really hard to afford such a luxury and hard to go to their happy hour. 悲しいですね。

hopefully, i can go soon. i need to have some FUN! and it would be a nice thing to do with the bf. and maybe with a certain someone else as well. it was a lot of fun when we went with just the three of us. また皆で行こうぜ！楽しみ～。
