this weekend, in little tokyo, there was a lolita convention type thing at the kyoto grand. ちょうどその時リトル東京の weller court にいた私と彼はそんなことを知らずにいた。でも、なんと彼がロリータたちを見かけていたのである。それはカレーハウスの to go 店にいたとき。he said some girls walk by in crazy dresses. according to him, メイド姿した人たちが通った！だとさ。当然私はえっ！メイド！？となるわけです。but, turned out to be the people from the lolita convention. what a dummy, eh?

ロリータって結構日本では流行ってるらしいけど、勇気あるな～って思う。恥ずかしそうだもん。めちゃめちゃ目立つし。but what was even more surprising is that it's actually a pretty major underground fashion in america as well. if you look through the slideshow, you'll see a couple Caucasian as well as other ethnicity girls. like the one below.
正直、一度はやってみたいかもって思う。そりゃあ、街中は絶対あるかないけど、、、でも着てみるだけなら楽しそう。後メイドさんもね。結構コスプレってすきかも。（笑）

the bf and i are both freaks when it comes to 名探偵コナン。マンガはもちろん、アニメと映画も結構みる。i think it's probably the only anime that i actually watch. i read a lot of manga but i don't watch many animes. anyways, to prove my point:
on the way back to my apartment tonight, the bf grabbed his 名探偵コナン soundtrack CD that has all these songs/music in it. で、色々な♪音楽♪を聞きながら彼とどういう場面で使用されているかとかモノマネなんかもやったりした。（笑）マジで二人でめっちゃウケてた。バカみたいでしょ？lol. but it was seriously a lot of fun. 車の中であんなに盛り上がったのは結構久しぶり。we were both wayyyyy sleepy before we were in the car but man, after a couple songs, we were both wide awake. haha. 何か２０曲ぐらい入ってるみたいで、まだ１０何曲しか聴いてないからまた続きをやらないとね～。あはは。楽しみ～♪
btw, i'll admit that i am a conan freak, but i am not as bad as the bf. he is really bad. コナンの最初の映画（時計仕掛けんの満天楼だったかな？）を１０回以上見てて、それをカセットに録音して、音だけでも聞いてたんだって～。ちょっとキモいね。lol. don't worry you, i may not be as bad but i am a freak as well. :) ちなみに言うと私は怪盗キッドがダイスキです！
anyways, the bf was sick today. :( poor guy. i hope you get better soon~

national holidays are the bomb! だって～、お休みだも～ん！！！:) nothing can beat THAT! haha.
so veteran's day is coming up and we get tuesday off. -_- why not make it a monday?? it would make life so much easier. grrr... マジでちょっとムカつく。ま、休みないよかましだけどね。and then i remembered that for thanksgiving, we only get 2 days off. i kept thinking it was like high school and that we would get 3 days off. but NO. onl 2. *sigh* college is the pits

OUR NEW PRESIDENT IS NOW BARACK OBAMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it is now official. :) this is awesome~
so, yesterday was once again my fun day and i had FUN! first, i took a midterm. -_- not fun, yes, but easy. i think i passed!! :) so very excited. this is the first midterm that i've had confidence in in the longest time. woohoo~~. lol
then, it was on to Santa Monica to do some shopping at the 3rd Street Promenade. While there, i had some Pinkberrys (been craving it for a while) and watched as some people were filming something. it was pretty interesting and the bf and i were just standing around for a while watching. there was a decent sized crowd forming. and then, we went to American Eagle, my new favorite store~~. they were having a buy 1 get the second 50% off sale. yeay! so i bought two bras. 結構高かった～～。１つ＄３０ぐらいだから合計で＄４７ぐらい？with tax. i wanted to buy some cute tops but... ムリだった～。they didn't have sales on anything else and everything was winter stuff so there was nothing that i really wanted. ちょっとブルー．．．買いたかったモノが買えなかった。oh wells. so on to Redondo we go...
we thought we might go on the boat ride at Redondo but... やってねぇじゃねーかよ！何だよ！お休みだなんて聞いてねーよ。期待外れ。so we just walk around the pier and we get a churro~. haven't had one in a while so it was really good :) haha. んで、そのあとはちょっと早めのご飯。蟹を３つと貝を1.5lbs. and i also got like 6 raw oysters. うまうま～。天国行ったみたい～。lol
after eating, we make a pit stop at gardena to go to book off. i only bought a couple of mangas but the bf seemed to be getting a couple. 二人そろってマンガ好き。ちょっぴりヲタクなカップルで～す。でも、絶対彼の方がヲタクだし～。lol. i'm not that bad. thanks goodness :)
and finally, Zac and Miri Make a Porno. we decided to watch it because it got a B- with critics and a B with yahoo users so we assumed it would be good. very graphic but good. 楽しかった～。コメディーだしね。あはは。途中から彼がトイレ行きたくなったみたいでさぁ大変。lol. it was fun watching him squirm. he held it until the movie ended but by that time, 相当限界だったみたい。:) 何はともあれ面白い一日でした。
